This is fascinating (so much so that I think it has already made the rounds online but it deserves a 2nd run).
So I had knee surgery on Friday. Nothing major but enough to leave me icing and elevating for 48-72 hours. Which means it's time watch some movies and add to my Netflix queue. Yesterday I was looking through the Netflix new releases page when I noticed a strange new design technique. These three DVDs were all on the same page. Apparently Hollywood marketing departments, never the most original of groups, has lost any remaining ambition (not to mention class). Oh well, I'm sure the 17 year old boys are scooping these babies up.
Ah, the beauty of a six day week. Here are some pics from two PMA projects that we worked on Friday and Saturday. On Friday we delivered our final edited movie for a video wall installation at The 88. There were a lot of things that could have gone wrong and luckily none of the technical gremlins appeared. This was a cool project with the video being displayed on four 42" plasma TVs. As you can see, the project is still being constructed, hence the hard hats.
On Saturday we were back at Soma Grand for more owner testimonials. The shoot went very well (mainly due to our crew).
And now it's Monday again.
My niece not only sang this song, she also wrote the lyrics and melody. Eliah's pop, Christian, did a great job with the music. When I heard the song, I was pretty impressed considering my niece is only 7. Jeff had a great idea that I should make a video. I had my niece over for the weekend a couple of weeks ago and we set to make the best video we could in a day. Jeff's niece, Lauren, showed up in the middle of our shoot and danced in the video. We were pretty lucky to have such a great time with our nieces. Jeff helped out a bunch, including the editing, and we finished the entire video in 11 hours. I think it turned out great. We all had a ton of laughs making it. A ton.
When you make videos for a living, it's great to do something fun, something that's for your family and something that will be remembered forever. I love my niece Eliah so much and I think you're going to love her too when you watch this fabulous display of her talent and panache!
